Max

I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of our household, Max. He's 3 years old and approximately 15 lbs. He has quickly figured out how to become lord and master and has us wrapped around his little... paw? He's quite the social little bugger. He was in 7th heaven last night at the open house. There were so many people who came just to pet him! Wasn't that nice of everyone? I don't think he'll ever readjust to having just 2 people to love on him. His favorite sleeping place is the bathroom sink. Luckily, the vanity has 2 sinks, so there's one for me and one for Max.

First week at RHI

I survived my first week! It was pretty intense the first 3 days, but by Friday, I had found my groove. There is a TON of information to remember, but I've managed to file it all away in the appropriate mental compartments. My coworkers are a dynamic group and I look forward to working with them. I have attached some photos of the house. Enjoy!

I HAVE A JOB!!

I HAVE A JOB!! I have finally found a permanent position. I will begin working for Robert Half International tomorrow (Tues 23rd) as a data entry clerk/admin support staff. RHI is a professional staffing firm with over 350 locations worldwide. (www.rhi.com) The office is located just north and a little east of downtown Phoenix, so I have a 45-minute commute, but that's to be expected in a city that covers so many square miles. I have learned that it is more time efficient, and thus less stressful, to avoid the interstates & highways and take surface roads the whole way. Granted, there are more stoplights, but traffic flows more consistently, so I won't be parked on the freeway 1/2 mile from my exit! :) After working at IASP for 3.5 years, the casual dress code had a negative effect on my wardrobe (mostly jeans and tees now), so I went shopping at Kohls and CLEANED UP in the clearance racks. Six interchangeable outfits for just under $100. Mom is so proud to know I haven't lost the bargain-hunting skills I learned at her knee so many years ago. Time to go now. The series finale of Alias is on and I can't miss it!

Grand Canyon State

Greetings from the Grand Canyon State. It's hard to believe I've been here a whole week now. The weather has been fabulous. I'm all caught up on school work and I've finished all my transfers. Plates, registration, title, driver's license (doesn't expire until 2047... crazy, eh?), car insurance, bills (ugh), and last, but not least, my library card. :)
